  • All children have the right to be effective communicators. We believe in engaging, fun and effective therapy for our clients. We use techniques and strategies based on current research-based practice, clinical expertise and years of clinical experience. Clients participate in formal and/or informal assessment measures to identify areas of communication strength and need. All goals and therapeutic plans are created based on client and/or parent interview and evaluation results. We will develop a customized therapy plan with your family to help your child make progress and have communication success. .

  • Payment for speech-language evaluations and treatment sessions is collected on the day of service. Payments are accepted in the form of cash, check, or credit card. For a complete listing of private payment fees, please contact us (link to contact us tab) directly.

  • Currently, we are not in-network providers for any private insurance companies. However, some insurance companies provide reimbursement benefits for speech therapy services. If you are interested in reimbursement, please contact your insurance company directly to verify the specifics related to benefits for speech therapy for an out-of-network provider prior to the initiation of services. Children’s Therapy Connections will be happy to provide you with an invoice listing procedure and diagnostic codes (called a SuperBill) upon request. You may choose to submit this SuperBill to your private insurance company. Please note that at this time, we are unable to interact directly with your private insurance company, including making phone calls, submitting documents or paperwork, etc.

  • Speech and language screenings are designed to be a quick way to gather information about your child’s communication skills that will help determine if your child has any areas of communication need. They are not meant to diagnose any kind of disorder. A Speech-Language Pathologist will ask your child to name and talk about various pictures and answer questions. The screening is designed to take about 15-20 minutes. Further evaluation may or may not be recommended based on the results of a screening.

  • A speech and/or language evaluation is a much more in-depth and detailed look at your child’s communication skills. You may be asked to complete a developmental/medical history form and generally the Speech-Language Pathologist will administer one or more standardized tests. These tests will compare your child’s communication skills to same age peers. The test(s) can take 1-2 hours to administer and the results can be used to diagnose and develop effective goals for therapy services.

Testimonials

Our family is so thankful for Ms. Natasha. Her creative approach to speech therapy makes learning fun! Whether at school or in her home office, our daughter, Avery, always looks forward to her time with Natasha! It did not take our shy and quiet Avery long to open up and trust Natasha. Avery has had much improvement in her speech, reading comprehension, and everyday social situations since beginning therapy with Natasha a year and a half ago. Now, after almost 4 years of speech therapy, Avery has met her articulation goals and is a more confident child!  We appreciate Natasha’s attention to detail as well as her flexibility in therapy strategies to meet Avery where she is on any particular day. We are forever indebted to Ms. Natasha!
